Standing Seam Metal Roofing
Standing-seam metal roofing is one of the most durable and long lasting roofing systems. A metal roof requires little maintenance, is available in a wide range of colors, and is fire resistant. In the last few years, standing seam metal roofs have shed their industrial roots and become a fashion and architectural statement.
Standing seam roofs are constructed of interlocking panels that run vertically from the roof's ridge (the top of the roof) to the eave. Our standard panel width is 17", but custom widths are available. The interlocking seam where two panels join together is raised 1" above the roof's flat surface, allowing water to run off without seeping between panels. The panels are attached with hidden fasteners from the roof sheathing to the raised portion of each panel. The fasteners are subsequently covered by the next adjoining panel during installation. Each panel of the metal roof is fabricated on the jobsite and individually formed to the desired length. This method helps eliminate most jobsite waste, and reduces costs as well.
Our metal roofs will last many years with little or no maintenance. Often, a fresh coat of paint is all that is required to return a twenty-year-old roof to it's "like-new" status.
